The Arkansas Black Film Festival is dedicated to using films to promote media literacy, encourage dialogue about the film industries’ role in socializing black communities, to encourage cross-cultural exchange, to emphasize important historical events in African/African American History, and to foster ß solidarity among people from the African Diaspora who struggle for change. Toward this end the Arkansas Black Film Festival will showcase and promote film works written, produced, and acted by the people of color.
